Here IT based modeling tools are created and further developed that are based on existing modeling methods. The scope of such modelling environment projects can vary to a great extent. On the one hand completely new software tools could be created from scratch which is a very challenging task. On the other hand existing modelling tools could be extended in order to realize support for new modelling languages or processing algorithms.
